Hi Miroslav,
I've got a 1993 UK spec Savage.
Mine has a headlight switch on the right handlebar - a 3 position swith of the type you describe.
In the first position the lights are off.
In the second position a small bulb in the headlight and the tail light lights.
In the third postion, the headlight lights as well.
What is the point of having a bike where you can't switch the headlight off ?? It's only dark at night. You switch lights off during the day. Is this one of these half-baked 'safety' features ? There is no evidence in the UK or Europe that riding with lights on during daylight reduces accidents. In fact there is evidence to suggest that drivers find it harder to judge the speed of a bike in daylight if it has it's headlight on.
Anyway, enough ranting !
I have scanned the wiring diagram from my Suzuki owners manual and have e mailed it to you.
It shows 7 wires going to the switch and not the 6 you have. These wires go to the 3 position lighting switch, the starter switch, the engine kill switch and the front brake light switch. It's all on the wiring diagram.
Good luck.
Happy Savage riding,
even the ones where you can't switch off the headlight during the day.
